Our Story

We both were born and raised in Springfield, MO, and are amazed at how much Springfield has grown since we were both students at Central High School in the 70’s! It is exciting to be a part of such a friendly, growing, and successful community.

From the start of our company in 2001, as a husband and wife team, we have had the privilege of working alongside our family and surrounding ourselves with many “elite” team members. With a background in athletics, sales management, and managing a family of four children, we have always had the belief that with faith, the right attitude, a lot of hard work, and a huge dose of discipline we can be a winning team!

Our culture within our company reflects our values and expectations we have always had for ourselves and our family. We employ quality, friendly, and positive people that have a passion to work hard and provide a superior service to our clients. A key to having happy clients is having happy team members. We take good care of our team members and they take good care of our clients. We value and respect each team member and enjoy listening to their ideas. We all take pride in our work and growing a business together. We encourage a positive atmosphere where we provide opportunities for personal and career growth. We like to have fun, too!

One of the greatest joys in building a business has been building a positive culture for our team members, and providing them with a good first time job,  flexible college job, or giving them the professional knowledge to build a career with us or wherever they go. We are proud of our team members as they succeed in other areas after leaving our business.  And we also enjoy having some of our team members for years as we grow our business together and watch them succeed at MEC.  They truly are our greatest asset and we are blessed to have such gifted persons with such high levels of integrity. The other fulfilling part of this business is offering a service that truly helps our clients. We understand that our clients are the reason we exist. Customer service is everyone’s responsibility and our job is not complete until our client is satisfied! We practice long term thinking and take pleasure in developing long lasting relationships with our clients.

When we are not working, we like to spend time with our family. Our family includes four married children and their mates, and 15 grandchildren. We attend Riverstone Fellowship and if there is any time after family and church, we enjoy traveling, and  bike riding and walking the trails around Springfield. Whatever we are doing, this verse has been special to us and our goal is to practice this daily. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”  Proverbs 16:3
